The internet has made information abundant. Attention, however, is still limited.

That difference matters. We can collect thousands of articles, videos, opinions and notifications without necessarily becoming wiser.

A better approach may be surprisingly simple: choose a little more carefully what we allow into our minds.

This is what Reader is for. Not to replace the rest of the internet, and not to tell anyone what they should think. Just to offer a quieter selection of things worth thinking about.

A useful reading habit does not need to be dramatic. A few minutes today, another few minutes tomorrow, and a thoughtful idea carried into ordinary life may be enough.

The goal is not to consume more.

It is to consume better.
